How to Get Started as a Bidder
1. Register: Sign up for the auction at least 24 hours in advance. If you’re new, fill out a form to verify your identity.
2. Read Terms and Conditions
3. Ensure you’re available for the designated pickup days and times
4. Place Bids: Once registered, you’re ready to bid on items of interest. You will need to enter a Credit or Debit Card prior to completing your first bid.
5. Monitor the Auction: Stay up-to-date on the current bid and ensure you’re in the lead.

6. Set a Max Bid: Enter the highest amount you’re willing to pay. Our system will automatically bid for you, ensuring the lowest winning bid—never exceeding your max bid.
What Items Can Be Sold at an Estate Sale?
Estate sales typically include everything from a home, such as:
· Appliances
· Furniture
· Dishes, silverware, and glassware
· Cookware
· Towels, sheets, and bedding
· Clothing
· Cleaning supplies
· Hand tools and power tools
· Electronics and yard tools
· Collectibles and more!
What is the Timeline for an Online Estate Sale (For the Client)
· Preparation: It generally takes two weeks to ready a home for sale.
· Sale Duration: The sale runs live for one week and closes on a designated weekday evening.
· Pickup: Items are available for pickup that weekend.
What is the Timeline for an Online Estate Sale (For a Bidder)
· Bidding and Closing: Expect to spend 30 minutes to 1.5 hours on the night of the sale’s closing if you watch the from start to finish. If you have entered a Max Bid you need not be present, the Max Bid does the work for you.
· Pickup: It takes approximately 5-15 minutes to collect small items.
What Happens to Remaining Items After the Sale?
We reach out to local charities and deliver what we can. The client can decide to either use clean-out services or donate/dispose of any remaining items.
Will There Be Items for Sale During Pickup?
· Many sales feature a “picker’s sale” on-site, with most items unpriced—meaning it’s “make an offer” pricing.
· Note: If you say “Free,” we charge double what we would have if we needed to counter. We accept both cash and card payments.
What If I Can’t Make the Pickup Day/Time?
· Send a Representative: You can send an authorized family member or friend. Just notify us beforehand—items won’t be released without your consent.
· Other Options: If no one can pick up your lots, contact us. Fees may apply for removal, storage, or abandonment. See our Terms and Conditions for details.
Do We Provide Loading Assistance for Medium to Large Items?
· Loading Assistance: We do NOT provide loading assistance. Please bring tools and help for moving large items. Some may be located on upper or lower floors or in outbuildings.
· Accessibility Accommodations: We offer assistance for small item lots for individuals with physical disabilities. Reach out via info@acornandanchorestatesales.com with “Accommodation” in the subject line.
Additional Pickup Guidelines:
· No Public Restrooms: Restrooms will not be available during pickup.
· No House Tours: Only bidders picking up large items are permitted beyond the designated pickup area. Thank you for respecting our clients’ privacy.
